Hey, I'm Philemon — a software engineer based in Embu, Kenya.

I build things for the web and mobile. Most of my time is spent writing code, designing interfaces, and figuring out how to make software that actually works well for people.

What I Do

I work across the full stack. On the web, I build with React, Next.js, and TypeScript. For mobile, I use Kotlin with Jetpack Compose for Android development.

On the backend, I typically reach for Node.js, Firebase, or Supabase — whatever gets the job done cleanly.

I care a lot about the details — the small interactions that make software feel good to use.

Why This Blog

I wanted a simple space to share what I'm learning and working on. No complicated CMS, no heavy frameworks. Just markdown files and clean code.
